Disobedience (2017) Storyline :
Ronit Krushka, a New York photographer, flew to London after learning of her estranged father’s death. Ronit is returning to the same Orthodox Jewish community that rejected her decades ago because of her childhood affinity to Esti, a female friend. Their serendipitous and pleasant meeting quickly reignites their burning passion as the two ladies push the boundaries of faith and sexuality.
Review of Disobedience (2017):
Very nice film. The extremely slow pace can be uncomfortable at times, but also lovely. Personally, this demonstrates the limitations of a limited faith-circle. Of course, the film depicts this, as well as the continuing love between the two ladies. However, an external event such as pregnancy does not guarantee a happy outcome. A film featuring monsters and angels.
