Ginger, Rocky, Bunty, Mac, and Babs return for seconds in ‘Chicken Run: Dawn Of The Nugget’, the long-awaited sequel to Nick Park and Peter Lord’s eggs-cellent 2000 animated classic. While it may not be as consistently funny or as instantly memorable as its record-breaking predecessor, it still has more than enough yolks to satisfy both chicks and old hens alike. As with any Aardman production, the animation and cinematography in ‘Chicken Run: Dawn Of The Nugget’ are stunning, with the glorious tactility of the CG-assisted stop-motion combining with the vivid hues of the backgrounds to bring to life the fast-paced, gag-a-minute comedy the studio excels at. Admittedly, being a major admirer of the original film, I found myself missing the earthy textures and very doomy palette of Tweedy’s farm
