‘It’s a movie about cruel clowns (again), which is OK, but the bad news is that these kinds of films had their heydays in the feral and absolutely raw early 1980s, which is 40 years ago, and it’s a rotten tomato by all means both in terms of performance and production. For the meany beanies who enjoy gruesome clowns in a so-called horror setting, you will get some delight; for the rest of you, I will simply suggest stand back from this clown village and destined lethal facsimile of a clown feast. The introduction says it’s a runaway bride, but it’s a setup bride who got the nay from the groom because she had a one-night fling with a stipper, so off they go, driving a car that doesn’t move at all, until they arrive in clown town and straddle the clown town inn for a bridal suite to sleep away the glomy thoughts. But it’s an eerie environment, so game on… This was simply a teaser, because there are several stripteases in this film. The acting is very poor; the main character appears to have had a proper bachelorette party the night before, and her voice sounds like a cow with a hangover and an important mastitis, followed by her bridemaids. The clowns are incomprehensible dumbheads; the makeup crew might have made an attempt to make them seem like clowns. The extras on the scene appear to have been caught in a net and have a death sentence behind their ear; they are stiff and uninspired, which is simply dreadful.
