This film is just a gem. Deadpool is funny and incredibly engaging from start to finish, with a wonderful balance of a humorous and serious tone, making it one of the funniest movies I’ve seen while still occasionally being quite nice. The witty quips and bawdy jokes that come out of Wade’s lips during a fight or a serious moment are effective; the jokes land flawlessly, they will undoubtedly make you laugh, they do not feel forced, and the breaching of the fourth wall is a lot of fun, complementing the film beautifully. The action is as entertaining and gory as you’d expect from a Deadpool film; of course, I can’t end this review without mentioning Ryan Reynolds’ phenomenal performance as this merc with a mouth. I can’t think of anyone who could have played the role better; he hits the tone perfectly, his delivery of jokes and dialogue is overall peak acting in my opinion, and he just matches Wade Wilson’s charisma outstandingly. It made me giggle and kept me interested from start to finish. Deadpool is an excellent picture, and I definitely suggest it if you haven’t seen it yet.
