I Spit on Your Grave (2010) Storyline :
Jennifer (Sarah Butler), a writer, rents a remote cottage in the countryside to work on her newest manuscript. A group of local thugs soon shatters the calm and quiet, raping and torturing her before abandoning her for dead. But she returns for revenge, trapping the males one at a time. Jennifer inflicts misery on her assailants with passion that well outweighs her own anguish.
Review of I Spit on Your Grave (2010)):
Excellent acting, suspense, sadness, and rage. I really suggest viewing. (Spoiler alert) Some people may find it “too much” and anticipate a nice conclusion, but the fact is that rape and similar incidents can really break someone up and be this horrible. I sobbed during several of the images, but I believe it is necessary to experience such gut-wrenching situations in order to comprehend how demeaning and vile rape is. We may believe we understand something, but until we have personally experienced it, we cannot truly appreciate such trauma. It is something unfamiliar till it is known. Although extreme, Jennifer’s actions and visions in the last film express and visualize one’s inner need to lash out after accumulating so much rage and enduring such horrific pain.
